Genre: Contemporary Romance

Another highly anticipated read that I was excited to get into as soon as I received my copy I bought on Amazon. This particular author never fails to impress me with her story telling and I had high hopes for this one.

The story follows Akunnaya a.k.a Scarlet who has been living a life of prostitution in Canada after leaving home (Nigeria) several years earlier to make a life for herself. Fate throws her and celebrity gospel singer, Clurkin in the same path and as they lock eyes, their lives are never the same again. As they both try to process how and why they can’t seem to pull away from each other, Scarlet’s past comes back to haunt her, taking Noah, his reputation and family down with her. Will their “love” stand the trials thrown at them and is Scarlet willing to accept not just Noah’s love for her but the unending love of Jesus Christ?

One of the reasons I love this author is her ability to write a wholesome story that not only focuses on one particular genre but has elements of mystery, suspense, romance, and Christian fiction. This story was all that and more. It held me spellbound and although due to the romance element, I expected a happy ending, I couldn’t predict how things would go before I got my happily ever after. I loved that the main characters were relatable, and experience Noah’s struggles as a Christian who had found himself in love with an “unbeliever”. This story was giving Hosea vibes, and I loved every aspect of it. This is a Christian fiction story you will all want to read and I really, really, really, recommend you go buy this book and read it.

Looking forward to read more books by this author and If you haven’t read any books by her, this is your sign to do so.
