If there’s one Nigerian author who has completely stolen my heart with her storytelling, it’s Rosemary Okafor. Her books have a unique way of pulling you into vivid worlds, introducing you to unforgettable characters, and making you feel deeply connected to the stories she tells. I have read all her books—except one (which I plan to read very soon!).
ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Once a journalist and an academia before venturing in to writing because she simply loves telling stories, Rosemary Okafor began writing short romance stories just for the fun of it, now she is identified as a Nigerian provocative romance storyteller whose works are colored with generous doses of thriller, suspense, steam and humor because, hey, we all need to smile.
When she is not writing, she is busy gardening and managing her family’s business.
Why I Love Rosemary Okafor’s Writing
There’s something truly magical about the way Rosemary Okafor writes. Her stories are rich with African culture, history, and deep emotional layers that make you pause and reflect. She doesn’t just tell a story—she makes you experience it.
Her characters are complex, real, and beautifully flawed, which makes them incredibly relatable. Whether she’s writing about love, loss, resilience, or self-discovery, you can always expect to feel something profound.
My Favorite Books by Rosemary Okafor
It’s hard to choose favorites, but here are a few of her books that left a lasting impression on me:
Amongst a Thousand Stars

This multi-racial romance story made me cry, laugh, and think about life in a new way. The way she developed the main character’s journey was simply masterful.
Akwaugo

A powerful story that beautifully weaves tradition and modernity. The themes of family and identity really resonated with me.
Many Waters

This one is an absolute page-turner! The suspense, the emotions, and the unexpected twists kept me hooked from start to finish.
I have full reviews of all three books on this blog so you can check them out on “Book Reviews”.
The One Book I Haven’t Read Yet… But Will Soon!
I have devoured all her works except one—and not because I don’t want to, but because I’ve been saving it for the perfect moment. It’s titled ‘Black White Blur’, a psychological thriller and romance book which has gained a lot of acclaim among her fans. There’s something special about knowing there’s still one more of her books waiting for me.
