If you have been around for a while, you will know that I love all things, Abby Jimenez. Ever since I read ‘The Happily Ever After Playlist’ by her, I was sold out. I had to read everything she had written and since then I wait patiently for her new releases. After reading her latest release early this month, ‘Say You’ll Remember me’, it’s no surprise that she is on my spotlight this month. So, let’s dive in….
About the Author

Abby Jimenez is a Food Network winner, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Just for the Summer, and recipient of the 2022 Minnesota Book Award for her novel Life’s Too Short. Her book Yours Truly was the first romance novel in the history of Book of the Month to win the coveted Dolly Award for Book of the Year. Abby founded Nadia Cakes out of her home kitchen back in 2007. The bakery has since gone on to win numerous Food Network competitions and, like her books, has amassed an international following. Abby loves a good romance, coffee, doglets, and not leaving the house.
Why I Love Abby’s Stories Books

I love her stories because they aren’t just about romance—they’re about real life. Her debut, The Friend Zone, tackled infertility and grief with honesty and compassion. Her characters feel like real people: flawed, funny, hopeful, sometimes hurting, but always relatable. And let’s not forget the banter. If you’re a sucker for smart, witty dialogue like I am, Abby will become an instant favorite.
Her books also touch on important themes like anxiety (Yours Truly), toxic family dynamics (Part of Your World), and burnout (Just for the Summer)—but always with a sense of hope and warmth that lingers long after you turn the last page.
My Favorite Books by Abby Jimenez
Honestly, I love all her books, but here are my top 4 (and why) in no particular order:
Part of Your World

This book wrecked me in the best way. It’s about a woman caught between the life she was raised for and the love that helps her reclaim her own voice. The chemistry, the emotional tension, the small-town charm? Perfection.
The Happily Ever After Playlist

If you’re a music lover or a sucker for a good second-chance romance, this one will steal your heart. Also: there’s a dog. And he’s adorable.
Yours Truly

I have a soft spot for stories that deal with anxiety in honest, tender ways—and this book does just that. Plus, the love interest is a total cinnamon roll of a man. Yes, please.
Just for the Summer

This was one of my best reads from last year, and it went straight into my favorites. It’s a story about burnout, fear of commitment, and breaking old patterns—but done in such a fresh, funny, and touching way. It felt incredibly personal, and I couldn’t put it down.

Final Thoughts
Abby Jimenez doesn’t just write love stories—she writes about the mess, the healing, and the joy that make life beautiful. Her books remind me that laughter can exist alongside heartbreak, and that it’s never too late to rewrite your story.
If you’ve never read her before, you’re in for a treat—no pun intended.
