New Podcast Episode: 10 Ways To Get Rooted in the Word of God

Hello friends,

Happy New Week! I’m here again with another episode of the podcast and I really enjoyed having this conversation. This is episode 15 and the 3rd episode of season 2. If this is your first time here, you are welcome once again, and I urge you to go listen to all 12 episodes in Season 1 and episodes 13 & 14 which are the two last episodes before this one. If you’ve already been following the podcast, thank you for coming back and I can’t wait for us to journey along once again on another season.

If there’s one thing that can keep us steady in the ups and downs of life, it’s being rooted in the Word of God. The Bible isn’t just a book—it’s our source of life, guidance, comfort, and strength. Psalm 1:2–3 paints a beautiful picture of this:

“But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.”

That’s the kind of life God desires for each of us—a life that’s unshakable, flourishing, and deeply grounded in His truth.

In this week’s episode of the podcast, I’m talking about 10 practical ways to get rooted in God’s Word. These are simple but powerful habits that will strengthen your faith and help you stay connected to God daily.

What You’ll Hear in This Episode

On this episode of the 6Eleven Life Podcast, I’ll be talking about:

  • Why daily Bible reading matters (Matthew 4:4).
  • The power of meditating on scripture (Joshua 1:8).
  • How to pray using God’s Word (Psalm 23:1 as an example).
  • The importance of memorizing verses (Psalm 119:11).
  • Journaling as a way to remember what God teaches you.
  • The value of studying the Word in community (Proverbs 27:17).
  • How applying the Word transforms your life (James 1:22).
  • Listening to scripture in your everyday routine (Romans 10:17).
  • Using worship to let the Word dwell in you richly (Colossians 3:16).
  • Obeying the Word as an act of love for God (John 14:23).

Ready to Grow Deeper in Faith?

Friend, the Bible is alive and active—it’s not just meant to be read, it’s meant to be lived. If you want to be like that tree planted by streams of water, then start by planting God’s Word deep in your heart.

Here’s my challenge for you this week: Pick one or two of these 10 practices and start. Don’t overwhelm yourself trying to do it all at once. Maybe you start with daily reading and prayer. Or maybe you join a Bible study group. Whatever it is, be consistent. Over time, you’ll find your roots growing deeper and your faith getting stronger.
