New Podcast Episode: Prioritizing God in the Midst of Our Busy Lives

Hello friends,

Happy New Week! I’m here again with another episode of the podcast and I really enjoyed having this conversation. This is episode 17 and the 5th episode of season 2. If this is your first time here, you are welcome once again, and I urge you to go listen to all 12 episodes in Season 1 and the other episodes in Season 2 before this one. If you’ve already been following the podcast, thank you for coming back and I can’t wait for us to journey along once again on another season.

Life today feels busier than ever. Between work, family, errands, and endless commitments, it’s easy to push God down to the bottom of our to-do list. Maybe we say a quick prayer before bed or rush through a devotional if we can squeeze it in. But here’s the truth: the busier life gets, the more we need God.

In Episode 17 of “The 6Eleven Life” Podcast, we talked about what it looks like to intentionally prioritize God in the midst of our busy lives. And as we see in Scripture, when we put Him first, everything else falls into its proper place.

What We Covered in This Episode

Here are five powerful reminders and biblical examples of people who put God first:

  1. Jesus: Withdrawing to Pray (Luke 5:16)
Even with the weight of the world on His shoulders, Jesus made prayer a priority. If He needed to, how much more do we?
  2. Daniel: Anchoring Life in Prayer (Daniel 6:10)
Despite being a busy government official, Daniel prayed three times a day. His consistency gave him wisdom, courage, and favor.
  3. Abraham: Building Altars Everywhere (Genesis 12:7–8)
Abraham built altars as acts of worship wherever he went. We may not build physical altars today, but we can carve out moments of worship and surrender throughout our day.
  4. Mary and Martha: Choosing the Better Part (Luke 10:38–42)
Jesus reminded Martha that Mary, who sat at His feet, chose what mattered most. Sometimes, slowing down is the most fruitful choice.
  5. Practical Ways to Prioritize God
    • Start your day with prayer and scripture—even 10 minutes makes a difference.
    • Invite God into your daily schedule.
    • Use small pockets of time to pray, reflect, or worship.
    • Protect your Sabbath and carve out intentional rest.

Ready to Make Space for God?

Prioritizing God isn’t about adding another burden to your already full schedule—it’s about aligning your schedule with Him. Proverbs 3:6 reminds us:

“In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

So this week, I encourage you to ask: Where can I make more space for God? Even one intentional step—like starting your day with prayer or inviting Him into your commute—can change everything.
