To Be Loved

What does it mean to be loved?

To be loved 

is to be seen,

to be heard,

to be accepted,

respected.

To be loved

is to be remembered,

to be missed

to be longed for 

to be desired

To be loved

Is to be cared for

With honesty and tenderness 

With transparency and trust

In moments both light and shadow 

To be loved

is to be safe

To be known and still chosen

To be held when you fall apart

and believed in when you can’t hold your own

To be loved

Is to be forgiven

To be redeemed,

To be seen as worthy beyond 

Measure

Worth living for, worth dying for.

To be saved by grace
