From My Heart to Yours: February 2026 Newsletter

Hello dear friend,

February is here. Usually quieter than January, softer around the edges, and perhaps a little more honest.

Thank you for being here again. For continuing to read, to reflect, and to journey alongside me. Your presence in this space whether quietly or actively is never taken for granted.

If January was about beginnings and declarations, February feels like an invitation to settle in. To notice what’s lingering. To listen more closely to what God might be doing beneath the surface.

A Month of Slowing Down

One thing I’m learning is that not every month needs to be loud or full. Some months are meant to be spacious.

February, for me, will be about easing into the rhythms of the year without pressure. About resisting the urge to rush outcomes and instead paying attention to process. About showing up faithfully in small ways like in prayer, in reading, in writing, and in rest.

This has been a month of quieter obedience and gentle recalibration.

The Blog: Going Deeper Than Reviews

One shift I’m leaning into this year is expanding the book blog beyond reviews and author spotlights alone.

While these remain close to my heart, I’ve felt a nudge to explore reading as a mirror of our inner lives, how books meet us in different seasons, shape our thinking, and invite us into deeper reflection.

This month, I’m beginning that expansion with new reflective pieces that explore:

  • what our bookshelves reveal about us
  • the practice of slow reading in a fast world
  • and how stories quietly form us over time

My hope is that this space continues to welcome both longtime readers and those simply curious about the deeper role books play in our lives.

The 6Eleven Life

The heart of The 6Eleven Life continues to grow, not quickly, but intentionally.

The Podcast

As shared previously, the podcast is currently in a planned break period and will return with a new season in April. This pause has been purposeful; a time to pray, reflect, and prepare for what’s next.

Seasons 1 and 2 remain available, and if you haven’t listened to certain episodes (or feel led to revisit old favourites), February is a beautiful time to do so. Thank you again for the encouragement, messages, and support you’ve shown toward the podcast.

The Blog

On 6ElevenArmour, I’ll continue sharing Bible-centered reflections, encouragement, and faith-filled reminders designed to meet you in everyday life and gently point you back to God.

New Resource: The Quiet Work

This month, I released a free 7-day devotional titled The Quiet Work.

It’s a gentle devotional for waiting seasons for the moments when life feels still, uncertain, or hidden, and you’re learning to trust God without seeing the full picture yet.

Each day offers scripture, reflection, and prayer, created to help you rest in God’s timing and recognize the quiet ways He works beneath the surface.

If you’re in a season of waiting, I hope this devotional serves you well.

Spoken Word, Storytelling & Social Media

This year, I’ve been leaning more fully into spoken word poetry and storytelling on Instagram.

Alongside poetry, I’ve also begun sharing quiet prayers and will continue this month with gentle conversations of healing, becoming, and faith. Moments that don’t always have neat conclusions but are honest and deeply human.

These offerings are slower, softer, and rooted in presence rather than performance. My hope is that they create space for reflection, comfort, and connection — reminders that growth doesn’t always announce itself loudly.

Thank you for listening, reading, and holding space for these expressions.

Word Play Wednesday: Still Speaking

Poetry remains a steady rhythm — a midweek pause to name what’s often felt but not always said.

Some weeks the words arrive softly. Other weeks they come fully formed. Either way, Word Play Wednesday continues to be a space where faith, emotion, and lived experience meet honestly.

Thank you for sitting with these words and allowing them to speak to you.

Behind the Scenes: Quiet Work

Much of February will be about work you don’t always see.

  • Returning to deeper Bible study
  • Spending more time in prayer and listening
  • Developing devotionals and journals slowly and intentionally
  • Creating margin for rest and reflection

I’m learning not to rush what God is still shaping.

A Gentle Reminder for This Month

If February feels slower for you too, that’s okay.

Not every season produces visible fruit. Some seasons prepare the soil. Some deepen roots. Some teach us patience and trust.

My prayer for you this month is that you give yourself permission to move gently, to listen more than strive, and to trust God even when progress feels quiet.

Final Thoughts

Thank you for being here. For reading. For walking alongside me in this space of faith, creativity, and reflection.

If you ever feel led to share your thoughts, prayer requests, or reflections, my inbox is always open. I truly love hearing from you.

May this month be marked by peace, presence, and quiet trust.

With love,
Biyai Garricks
