Word Play Wednesday: Grateful……A Poem

Welcome to Word Play Wednesday!
Word Play Wednesday is a weekly feature of written and spoken word poetry. I will be sharing my written and spoken word poems exclusive to my wonderful subscribers. If you are interested in sharing some of your poetry, feel free to buzz me and we can work something out.

I hope that you enjoy reading and listening to my thoughts, feelings and rants and in many ways relate to some of them.
Enjoy!

Grateful

Grateful

For rainy days,

for sun scotching summers,

for winter snows.

For long and short walks.

For quick runs to

catch buses,

trains.

Noisy and

quiet spaces.

For days that stretch

and fold into

months on months.

Grateful,

for early morning

tea or coffee.

For big and

small decisions.

For indecision.

For time,

well used or

wasted.

For knowing and

not knowing.

For deep sleep and

sleepless nights

turned prayer vigils

and reflection sessions.

Grateful to have

God as my father,

Christ as my savior.

For family,

for good friends.

For peace, joy,

laughter and grace.

For thus far,

the Lord has

helped us.
