Book Review: Guardians The Awakening – The Return of the Queen by David Atta

Thank you Masobe Books for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is the author's debut novel and I had zero expectations going into this book. 'The Return of the Queen' is a retelling of the famous Queen Amina of Zazau story and a fantasyish follow-up of that story in … Continue reading Book Review: Guardians The Awakening – The Return of the Queen by David Atta

Book Review: Nobody Told Me – Poetry & Parenthood by Hollie Mcnish

This book has been on my TBR for quiet a while. After listening to the author's latest book 'Slug' a few months ago, I knew I had to listen to this book. I say listen, not read because I enjoy the audio book experience better than reading when it comes to this author's work as … Continue reading Book Review: Nobody Told Me – Poetry & Parenthood by Hollie Mcnish

Book Review: Fine Ending (Age is No Bother Bk 4) by Emem Bassey

This is the fourth book in the 'Age is no bother' series by the author and it has been a jolly good ride. This one is a very short novella so it was more like icing on the cake. 'Fine Ending' gives us closure on Celia (Mandy's best friend) and Clement Adebayo's story. Clement who … Continue reading Book Review: Fine Ending (Age is No Bother Bk 4) by Emem Bassey

Some used to be voracious readers when they were younger but now with jobs, family or kids to think about, their love for reading has naturally waned. With little or no time to read or so it seems, they have asked meย  how I manage to read all the books that I read despite my busy schedule.

I have been able to convince a few friends that reading like any other habit needs to be cultivated, one step at a time and I am happy that they are now on their journey to become the great readers that they all aspire toโ€ฆ
