As another month begins, I have found myself thinking about how often we measure progress by what we can see. We notice the finished projects, the answered prayers, the milestones, and the moments that feel significant. Yet so much of what God does in our lives happens quietly, often without us fully recognising it until much later.
Over the past few weeks, I have been reminded that spiritual maturity is rarely built through one extraordinary moment. More often, it is formed through the simple decision to keep returning to God’s Word, to keep praying, and to keep trusting Him one day at a time.
That kind of growth may not always be visible, but it is deeply meaningful.

A Month of Going Deeper
When I look back on July, the word that comes to mind is depth.
There has been a growing sense that God is inviting us beyond simply knowing about Him and into knowing Him more deeply.
That has certainly been true for me.
Whether I have been studying Scripture, preparing podcast episodes, writing blog posts, or recording YouTube videos, I have found myself returning again and again to the richness of God’s Word. The more time I spend there, the more I realise there is always something new to discover.
That has been one of the greatest joys of this ministry. It continues to remind me that we never outgrow the Bible. We simply continue growing into it.
The 6Eleven Life — Continuing the Journey
The Blog
Throughout July, the blog has continued to grow into a place where Scripture and everyday life meet.
Many of this month’s articles have explored topics such as healing from past hurt, spiritual discernment, contentment, prayer, building godly friendships, and learning to trust God when life feels uncertain. Alongside these, I have continued writing companion articles for both the YouTube channel and the podcast so that every platform works together to support your walk with God.
One of the things I enjoy most about writing is knowing that these articles remain available whenever someone needs them. Whether you discover them today or months from now, my hope is that they continue pointing people back to God’s Word.
The 6Eleven Life Podcast
Season 3 of The 6Eleven Life Podcast continues to be one of the greatest joys of this year.
Our journey through Genesis has taken us through the lives of Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph, and each episode has reminded me that God’s faithfulness remains constant even when circumstances change.
What has stood out to me most is how relevant these ancient stories continue to be. The struggles, the waiting, the disappointments, the restoration, and the hope all speak into the realities we experience today.
It has also been encouraging to see more people discovering the podcast across different listening platforms. Whether you listen on YouTube, Amazon Music, Pocket Casts, Podcast Republic, Castro, Podcast Addict, or another platform, thank you for taking me with you as we journey through Scripture together.
The 6Eleven Life YouTube Channel
The YouTube channel has continued to grow steadily, and I remain thankful for every person who watches, comments, shares, and encourages this work.
During the past month, we completed our Building a Prayer Life mini series before beginning a new collection of videos exploring practical aspects of Christian living. We have talked about hearing God’s voice, navigating spiritual loneliness, building a healthy digital life, contentment, biblical discernment, and most recently, we began our series on the Armor of God.
One thing I continue to appreciate is how willing this community is to wrestle with real questions. My desire has never been simply to provide information, but to help us think biblically about the challenges we face in everyday life.
I hope these conversations continue to encourage you to grow in confidence as you study Scripture for yourself.
The Resource Library
The Resource Library continues to grow with both free and paid resources created to help you spend meaningful time with God.
Our free resources include Abide: A Year in God’s Word, the Identity in Christ Scripture Cards, 30 Biblical Affirmations for Spiritual Growth, and The Gentle Reset Starter Guide.
Alongside these, The Gentle Reset Collection continues to provide practical support for anyone seeking to rebuild sustainable rhythms with God through the devotional, prayer companion, Scripture Anchor Collection, and reflection companion.
I have also been encouraged by the response to the print resources now available on Amazon. The Abide Bible Study Journal, Conversations with My Father Prayer Journal, and the growing collection of Scripture inspired notebooks continue to find their way into the hands of people who simply want practical tools to help them engage more intentionally with God’s Word.
Poetry, Spoken Word and Story Telling
Wordplay Wednesday continues to hold a special place in my heart.
Each week, I have been sharing original poems with subscribers, and it has become one of the most peaceful rhythms in everything I create. Poetry has a unique way of expressing truths that are sometimes difficult to explain through ordinary conversation, and I continue to be grateful for the opportunity to share those reflections with you.
I am still allowing my spoken word work to develop more slowly than before, and I continue to believe that this slower pace is the right one. Rather than creating simply to keep up with social media, I want every piece to come from a place of genuine reflection and prayer.
Sometimes slowing down allows us to create something far more meaningful.
Behind the Scenes
July has been another month of steady and faithful work behind the scenes.
Alongside writing blog posts, recording podcast episodes, producing YouTube content, and developing future resources, I have continued working on expanding The 6Eleven Life shop with additional journals, notebooks, and faith inspired products.
I have also been planning ahead for the months to come, thinking carefully about how everything across the blog, podcast, YouTube channel, Resource Library, and shop can continue working together to serve this community well.
More than anything, I have been reminded that building something meaningful rarely happens quickly. It happens one faithful step at a time.
A Gentle Reflection for You
As we begin August, I want to leave you with a simple question.
Where might God be inviting you to go a little deeper?
Perhaps He is inviting you to spend a little more time in His Word.
Perhaps He is calling you to pray more honestly.
Perhaps He is asking you to trust Him in an area where you have been holding back.
Whatever it may be, remember that depth is not measured by how much you know. It is measured by how closely you walk with Him.
Final Thoughts
As August unfolds, my prayer for you is that you would continue growing in your love for God’s Word and in your confidence to live it out each day.
I pray that your relationship with Him would become deeper, your faith would become steadier, and your hope would remain firmly anchored in His promises.
